Potty Training

Well a lot of us mothers are in the tedious process of potty training. We bought a little potty for Bella a couple months ago (when she turned 2), and started exposing her to it. At first she loved it, but didn't understand what it was for. Once she knew what we wanted her to do she didn't like it so much. So we decided since she just turned two that we wouldn't push it and we took a break from it. About two weeks ago Bella was wearing a dress and running around the house. I was getting ready to bathe her so i called her over to get her undressed and I realized that she had taken her diaper off. So I asked her where her diaper was, and she pointed to her room and said, "here mama!" When i went into her room her diaper was on the floor, along with a trail of pee, that led to THE POTTY! She went in the potty without us even knowing. I wasn't sure if it was a fluke or if she really knew what she did, so the next day i stayed home the whole afternoon and let her run around without a diaper on. Sure enough, she went every single time in the potty without telling me untill after (so she would get her sticker and treat). I still dont trust her enough to take her out without a diaper, but when we are home she does great. For us what worked was letting her run around without a diaper and everytime she did have an accident we took her straight to the toilet and told her that pee-pee goes in the potty. One day it clicked, and she was ready for it. But we did clean up TONS of accidents before she "got it"!

I love it. Jaxson is in the process of potty training too. We had to go out twice today and both times we had accidents. However the day before he did great. I guess staying home a little longer will be better. He has got it down and really loves all the attention.
